Workshop terms
The short version of how booking works, so your team and your finance people know where they stand. Last updated 26 October 2026.
Who you're booking with
You're booking with Nigel Camp, trading as The Video Effect, based in London. My address is on request for invoicing, and you can reach me at nigel@nigelcamp.com.
Prices
The prices on this site are "from" prices and exclude VAT, which is added at the standard rate. A team day at your office starts at £1,395 + VAT for up to six people, and a full-day live online session for up to six people starts at £1,200 + VAT. Longer courses and one-to-one sessions are quoted. I confirm the price, the format and what's included in writing before you book.
The deposit and the balance
A 50% deposit confirms your date. I invoice the balance after the workshop, and it's due within 14 days of the invoice.
Moving or cancelling
With more than 14 days' notice you can cancel for a full refund of the deposit, or move the date free of charge. Inside 14 days the deposit covers the preparation I've already started, so it isn't refundable, but I'll move your date once and carry the deposit over. If I have to cancel, you get a full refund or a new date, whichever you prefer.
Group size
A team day is priced for the day, not per person, so the price doesn't change if fewer than six people attend on the day. Larger groups are quoted.
Travel and rooms
Team days run at your office or online. Travel outside London is added at cost. If you'd like me to book a room in London, the hire cost is added at cost too. Both are agreed in the quote before you book.
Your videos and my materials
The videos your team makes on the day are yours to use however you like. My slides, checklists and handouts are for your own team's use, so please don't republish or resell them.
Liability
My liability to you for any claim connected with a workshop is limited to the fee you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow me to limit. If you're booking as an individual consumer, these terms don't affect your statutory rights.
Insurance
I hold public liability insurance.
